Rwanda is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is also known as "the land of a thousand hills" and is located on the eastern rim of the Albertine Rift, a western branch of the Great Rift Valley, on the watershed between two of Africa's greatest river systems: the Nile and the Congo. Much of the country's 26,338 km2 is extremely hilly, with the highest peak being Kalisimbi (4,507 m) in the volcanic Virunga chain, which is protected by Volcanoes National Park. Rwanda also has two additional national parks, Akagera National Park and Nyungwe National Park. The greatest body of water is Lake Kivu, although there are several additional lakes scattered around the nation, including Burera, Ruhondo, Muhazi, and Mugesera, some of which have chaotic forms that follow the curves of the high mountains that surround them. Rwanda is surrounded by Uganda to the north, Tanzania to the east, Burundi to the south, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. Rwanda Eco Company and Safaris offers the greatest wildlife safaris in Rwanda. We also provide the most interesting budget safaris in Rwanda.

Rwanda has a temperate climate with daytime temperatures of 25-30°C and nighttime temperatures of 15°C throughout the year. The country receives over 1,000 mm of rainfall and has two rain seasons: long rains from February to June and short rains from mid-September to mid-December. The dry months are January, July, and August to September.
Rwanda is a year-round destination. During the dry season, gorilla trekking and other forest treks become less strenuous. The European winter is ideal for birds, since Pala arctic migrants replenish local species. There are several things to visit in Rwanda throughout the year.
Bringing binoculars significantly improves game drives, woodland hikes, and bird viewing. Bring a camera and an appropriate supply of film. Print film is available, but transparency film is not. Toiletries and other necessities can be purchased in the cities.
Dress codes are casual. Daytime temperatures are often warm, so pack plenty of light clothes, reinforced with light sweaters for cold evenings and warmer gear for Volcanic and Nyungwe National Parks.
When following gorillas, wear thicker clothing to defend against stinging nettles and sturdy walking shoes. A hat and sunglasses protect you from the sun, and a waterproof clothing may come in helpful in the damp highlands.
Rwanda has an outstanding cell phone network that reaches practically the whole country. You can effortlessly make international phone calls. Suitable SIM cards for the network are widely accessible, even in isolated towns. Major establishments in Kigali sell or rent cell phones. Most communities have many Internet cafés and computer centers.
Rwanda enforces rigorous environmental legislation. Plastic bags (polythene papers) have been outlawed. Be careful not to bring such items into the nation because they will not be accepted at the border checks. Kigali is a clean, green city. You are asked to dispose of your litter in trash cans strategically placed throughout the area. Walk along the designated trails. Don’t tread on the grass.
A certificate of yellow fever immunization is necessary. Much of Rwanda is too high in elevation for malaria to be a serious issue, although the illness does exist and preventative medications are strongly advised. It is not advised to consume tap water. Bottled mineral water may be purchased in any town. Hospitals are found in every major town.
Foreign nationals seeking Rwandan visas should submit their applications to Rwandan embassies or diplomatic missions in their home countries for processing.
Those traveling from countries where we do not have an Embassy or Diplomatic Mission should request an entrance facility online, which may be used to acquire a visa at any official port of entry in Rwanda.
